We have a great lineup of bloggy inspiration for you!

For the blog hop, I am hosting the following challenge:

USE YOUR SCRAPS W/ A TWIST!!!

Pull out your scrap bin and create a layout using any of your scraps. You know those bits cut off here and there, the negatives left after you use your punches, even the tiny circles from using your hole punch. Any cardstock and patterned paper you have left over from other projects you have created. No cutting into new pieces of paper…no cheating!!!!  Layouts only...no cards!!!

The TWIST:

(1) You must use the sketch provided below by Lucy Chesna at My Sketch World

(2) You must include 2 or more embellishments on your page that fly ( butterflies, airplanes, birds, bumblebees, ladybugs, etc)

Sketch:

"Your Are My Sonshine"

I just love this new "Fine and Dandy" collection from My Mind's Eye and it is just the perfect paper and embellishments for this layout of my son and grandson.  I created this page for Colorful Creations Trains & Tiaras  "You Are My Sonshine" Challenge.  For the challenge you are to create a layout that focuses on a father & son relationship, add a quote or poem and use the word" SON" in your journaling or title.  My layout is based on this sketch from My Little Sketch Blook:

Dyno Teen * Move Over Boyz Challenge * Oct 15 - 29th

Here is a layout I created for my new Boyz to Men Challenge at  Colorful Creations.  We do not usually allow girls in this group, but I wanted to surprise the ladies and do something different.  The challenge is to create a layout using a photo or photos of a female and use boy themed papers and embellishments.  I created my layout using some of my stash:  Basic Grey's Archaic papers/chipboard and Liz Qualman's October 3rd sketch:

Here is the layout I created:

Operation Write Home

There is a very special challenge at Colorful Creations this month. We are working alongside Operation Write Home to provide handmade cards for our troops overseas to send home to their loved ones.

Operation Write Home (OWH) is an organization that sends blank handmade greeting cards for all occasions to deployed service members to write home on. They’ve mailed approximately 500,000 cards so far—and are still going strong!

Please join us in this event and show our troops how much they are appreciated.  Head on over to
Our Colorful Creations Blog for details on this wonderful event.  The event runs from October 1, 2010 until November 1, 2010.
