Creative Blog Tour

Today I am sharing a little bit about myself and my passion, Scrapbooking, as well as introducing you to two amazingly talented friends I met online through scrapbooking.

Before we get started I would like to thank one my Scrap BFF's, fellow design team member and a very talented and inspiring, scrapper who I also co-own Scrap Our Stash Challenge Blog with...

Thank you Rochelle for inviting me to be a part of this tour, I hope that I will inspire someone on the way or that the awesome ladies I tag will be inspiring to someone!

Currently I design for Paper Secrets and The ScrapRoom.  I co-own Scrap Our Stash with Rochelle Spears and I am also a part of Scrappy Friends Challenges, where Rochelle Spears, Kelly Holifield and myself, create a challenge on each of our blogs each month where participants have a chance to win a prize on each blog and by combining the challenges, they are entered into a monthly BONUS prize drawing.

As part of the tour Rochelle sent me these (4) questions to answer:

1. What am I working on?
I am mainly working on design team assignments and using those to complete a few albums I am putting together with photos of my grandchildren, and great-nieces and nephews!

2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
I do not think there is anything that stands out different about my work. I mainly scrap what and how I want to compliment the photos and product I am working with.

I like straight clean lines and will occasionally get a “little” messy.

3. Why do I write/create what I do?
Every photo has a story to tell and I have made it my mission to be the family historian. Scrapping allows me to show and tell about the daily lives of myself and other family members. I have a lot of old photos of family members and only know their names and relation to me, but not a whole lot about their lives, what they liked, disliked or their adventures. Through scrapbooking my grandchildren and my great nieces and nephews will know much more about family members than what was left in the boxes for me.

4. How does your writing/creating process work?
The process varies with each project. If it is a design team project, I first start with whatever it is that is being required and I go from there.
Sometimes it is a photo, other times it may be a new collection that I want to use. At other times it may be a sketch that inspires me.

Below are a few of my favorite recent projects:

Enough about me, I am now going to have you meet two more of my favorite scrapbooking friends. One of the most wonderful things about scrapbooking and being a part of various online communities as well as blogging, is the friendships I have developed along the way, in and out of the U.S.

I would love for you to visit the blogs of both of my talented friends below.
On Monday, August 11, they will be sharing a little about themselves and their creative process on their blogs as well as introducing you to some of the creative and talented bloggers they have met on their creative journey.
Make sure you stop by their blogs, and check out the fabulous inspiration they have to share with you.

Rachelle Olaridge:   Scrapbooking & Crafts 24/7 * 365
"Hi there. My name is Rachelle.
I am a mother to 2 grown sons and grandmother to 2 beautiful grandchildren.
I was a 6th grade teacher for 7 years. Now I am wheelchair bound and keeping busy is still my goal.
I started scrapbooking in 2008 when I viewed a friends work. My passion quickly turned into addiction for this type of artistry and I never looked back. I am very passionate about this hobby. It's not just about creating albums but it is a work of art. I love taking pictures to use to document life. Thus, here I am today enjoying my passion as therapy and inspiration to others. Now that I am wheelchair bound, each day is filled with being inspired, creating, providing inspiration through my work and treasuring the memories.
My obsession has expanded since 2009 for creating cards, tags, altered art work, mixed media, wood and canvas artwork. I love using a variety of techniques, elegant and fun elements. Yes, I do send out a few cards. My style has been described as detailed, beautiful, and multifaceted. My greatest strength is attention to detail. I like to take the viewer on a visual journey of my inspirational designs."

Giorgia Rossini:  Jo' In Wonderland Creations
"Hi, I am Giorgia (a.k.a. Jò in Wonderland), I'm Italian, I'm 32, I'm a Radiation Technologist and a bride to be!
I have a huge passion for creative hobbies: I like painting, making jewels and scrapbooking of course! I love to fix memories playing with paper and all other super funny stuff! Currently I design for Paper House. I also love cats, reading, summer, vintage, fashion, cupcakes, candles, paper lanterns, flowers, picnic, travel, parties, Christmas, sleeping, pizza and watching a lot of tv series"
